RENOVATION OF THE F/V GORBUSCHA |
On September 11, 2013 J & H Boatworks, Inc. hauled the F/V GORBUSCHA (Russian for pink salmon). She is a 58 ft. seiner, owned by Andrew Scudder from Boise, ID. The renovation will include removing the old fly bridge cowling, then constructing and installing a new upper aluminum pilot house. Upgrades to the fish hold will consist of re-foaming and re-glassing. The hull will also be lasered to create a computer model for sponsoning in the future.

J & H Boatworks, Inc. hauled the 65 ft. M/V TRIUMPH II on September 25, 2013. This vessel is owned by Anchorage Launch Services in Portland, OR. She is currently undergoing miscellaneous repairs, and will be having a new steering system installed.

The F/V MAJESTIK is owned by Chad Hoefer from Portland, OR. She is a 75 ft. crabber/longliner that is currently having a large aluminum wave wall installed on the port side, and a small aluminum wave wall on the starboard side. This work is being performed dockside at Tongue Point.

The F/V PROVIDER is owned by Richie and Jamie Ashley from Long Beach, CA. She arrived in Astoria on October 28, 2013 for sponsoning from 18 ft. to 24 ft. This renovation will also include a new bulbous bow, along with other upgrades, and is expected to take five months.
